Hi! My name is Raquel and I am very excited to be the chair of HMPA's advocacy committee this year. My plan is to continue the fantastic efforts of the previous committee and help drive meaningful improvements for postdoc lives and careers.

A little bit about me:

I received my PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Navarra, Spain where I developed and tested the effect of different antimicrobial combinations against the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Currently, I am a postdoc at the department of Systems Biology at HMS where my research focuses on studying the expression of several antibiotic resistance genes using microfluidics and fluorescence microscopy techniques.

Shoot me an email if you are interested in joining the advocacy committee!
