I am passionate and committed to building a community, which is kind, diverse, equitable, inclusive, and strives for betterment. With this vision in mind, I am excited to serve as the chair of the HMPA. My goals are to work together with other committee chairs to gather and voice concerns of the postdocs, to create and provide resources for postdocs professional as well as personal support, and to strengthen the sense of postdoctoral community at the HMS.

I'm excited to continue serving as the Vice-Chair of Communications. This year, I will be further developing our growing social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) and growing our newly established YouTube channel. I will be working with HMPA to increase engagement online and give an online voice to our HMS postdoc community.

As we all emerge from a prolonged period of pandemic-induced social hibernation, this coming year is a challenging and exciting time to serve as social chair. I’m excited to begin to organize new, creative (and safe!) ways to build a sense of community among postdocs. I particularly want to organize events that can bring together postdocs across the many Harvard affiliated institutions.

As a co-chair of the outreach committee I would like to coordinate and organize events that can bridge the gap between lab-science and society! In addition, I aim to organize more events that facilitate interactions of early career researchers with scientists in the greater Boston area and promote mentorship of undergraduates by liaising them with interested post-docs and early career researchers.

The committee and I will organize events and programs centered around the multilateral exchange of knowledge and action with the entrepreneurial and business communities, with the ultimate goal of empowering Postdocs to unlock their own innovative potential.

I’m glad to join such a diverse and motivated group and help postdocs improving professional skills. Outside of my work, I enjoy walking or jogging, or skiing in nature. I also love traveling around, making new friends, and reading. Badminton has always been my favorite.

I am excited to work with my colleagues to connect the HMS postdoc community with opportunities to gain and improve their career and professional skills. This year, we will focus on the establishment of online mentorship program that connect postdocs with established mentors within HMS network. In addition, we will work with social and communication committees to hold "Lunch with Mentors” event to allow postdocs to engage in a relaxed conversation with established HMS mentors over lunch.

I am excited to contribute to the HMPA and support researchers driving discovery and innovation within the Harvard Medical School community. As part of the Entrepreneurship Committee, I look forward to fostering connections between the Harvard Medical School and business communities and supporting the postdoctoral community in gaining skills needed to move ideas from discovery to clinical translation and commercialization. In the vibrant ecosystem of Harvard Medical School, there is tremendous potential to support entrepreneurship to improve the health and well-being of patients and populations.

So prior to joining BIDMC as a postdoc, when I was a vet student, I used to organize workshops and conferences for students. And since I truly loved the business crash course that was organized last year, I would love to take part in HMPA to help create and organize events. I am looking forward to expand my knowledge about business/entrepreneurship and help bridge the gap for fellow postdocs as well.
