Sling Health Boston Incubator Program

Sling Health Boston is a non-profit biotechnology and healthcare incubator program based at Harvard and MIT. Sling Health brings together students and postdocs across all of Boston to develop and commercialize solutions for real world clinical problems.

We are currently accepting applications for our 6 month program, where teams of student entrepreneurs learn clinical assessment, prototype creation, market analysis, business development and more. Sling Health teams receive resources, funding for pilot studies and mentorship from industry experts. The goal of the program is to develop an actual product and startup company.

We are looking for talented students and postdocs with fresh ideas for improving healthcare and a passion for innovation. We welcome applications from students and postdocs with a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to clinical medicine, life science research, engineering, business and finance. No specific university affiliation is required.

About the program: 

We are currently accepting applications for project team leaders. Team leaders selected by the Sling Health Boston executive board will choose a clinical problem to focus on for the duration of the program. On October 11, 2017, team leaders will present their clinical problems in the form of a poster at Problem Day, which will be attended by students and postdocs interested in entrepreneurship. Team leaders will then select members for the final team.

Throughout the school year, each team will work together to develop a prototype product. Sling Health will provide resources and mentorship from domain experts throughout the process. In April 2018, teams will present their prototypes at the Sling Health Boston Demo Day, which will be attended by industry professionals and investors. Outstanding teams will also be selected to attend the Sling Health National Demo Day at Washington University St. Louis in April 2018.
