One of the challenges of the post-doc experience is balancing medium and long-term plans and collaborations, with the uncertainty of not knowing the location of your next career step. Should this prevent you from starting new projects and applying for grants? Are there any tips to preparing for a possible transition? How can continued collaborations be facilitated and maintained?
We invite you to join us for a panel discussion on these questions and more. To provide a wider perspective on this challenge, the panel will include Oren Shibolet, MD who spent his post-doc at MGH and then moved on to successfully continue his research at a different location, and Dennis Brown, PhD, Professor of Medicine at HMS, Director, MGH Program in Membrane Biology and Director of the MGH Office for Research Career Development (ORCD).
